I have seen many reports on cydcor and ds-max and the such. I have read all the rebuttles and the peole who work for them, defend them with the same stories that you hear in the offices from the owners. they're basically regurjitating what they hear the leaders and owners say to them.

HERE IS THE BOTTOM LINE.

1 in 1000 people employed by E.M. and Associates or any other cydcor office will make it to ownership. the other 999 will leave in debt.

The one that make it out of the 1000... they get to put the 999 of their own "new hires" into debt to actually make money.

If this is the job you want, screwing people over, you will have to sacrifice more than you want to to get it.......I gurantee it.

Eric Swithin, the owner, is trapped. i think he wants out. but he has put so much into it at this point that he thinks he cant get out. Eric.... you can get out. your a talented guy. Your heart is huge, but you know that you're misleading to people.

Hi Joel, I worked for the company for approximately 3 weeks. It was a time where I had no money and I was extremely broke. I was so nave as to fall for all of the lies in hopes of making a career out of this. I too, was in the military and am an extremely hard worker. I never fail and I never quit! As for work ethic, I think that getting through the car ride interview and wanting to work with the company is enough. It did seem like a cult. I remember I said one comment about something that I can not honestly remember. It turned into a big deal. I was taken outside and was told I was a very negative person. In my third week, I was out in the street hustling trying to make commission only. I did get a couple of deals and I know it was not for that much. During that week I was asked to go to San Antonio to get more training and I thought I would have the finances. I then realized I had no money and asked the President AKA Eric to allow me to stay in Houston for one more week. He told me to come up with the money to go otherwise quit. I never got paid for training like was promised to me and I know you know what I am talking about. I didn't even get the commission I made going out in the streets. You stated, This business is ran just like a real estate business, meaning if you do well, you get promoted into your own office with your own demographics if you need proof of this not being a scam. Your own office? If a person in any profession has enough drive, they can have their own office in no time. This company, you basically have to do something a little extra if you know what I am saying to make it to the top. Also, the commission of selling a home can not be compared to this. I have been around the real estate business for some time. Most people I know do not walk into strip malls trying to find business. I usually get a good reading from people, Eric did seem to have a good heart but he could have at least given me a response from the email I sent him. My experience was about 3 years ago and I will never forget it. I sometimes think to myself it has a lot to with reasons as to why it is hard for me to take possible opportunities seriously. That whole experience was weird because from what I remember they had people living in the same apartment complex and had the secretary living with them. That did not seem ethical. I wish I would have got the secretary job. Jessica W.

I will have to respectfully disagree with you DarkLord, I too am a former employee of E.M. and Associates, and I will agree with you that the job is no picnic. Eric will be the first one to tell you that you have to have a strong work ethic to make it in that business as well as any sales position. All B-to-B sales positions are just like E.M and Associates, so hate to break it to you but it is not a scam. I was there with Eric from the beginning, I came from Atlanta with him and helped start up the office there in Houston. If you think Houston is hard, you should have been in the bellsouth market under DK. now for the facts... There is a high turnover rate, no denying that, but its because people dont have the work ethic to make it to the top, or plainly they are just not cut out for sales...especially when its %100 commission. Not only that but to become an owner, if you were properly instructed, you have to be able to manage others beneath you, hit your quotas( this might not be in affect anymore), learn how to interview..etc... basically you have got to become a manager without the title. The people that do not make it are people that with all due respect didn't need to be in a sales position...its how all B-to-B sales positions are. This business is ran just like a real estate business, meaning if you do well, you get promoted into your own office with your own demographics if you need proof of this not being a scam. And last, people go in debt because they do not know how to budget their money right, regardless of all the driving that is required for the position, try carpooling or walking more, it helps. For the record I was let go from E.M. and Associates, I didn't quit or resign, but fired...I made a stupid mistake, but regardless of what happened to me I was there long enough to see how things were ran, and even though I didnt always agree with things, that doesn't mean they were wrong. Now the one thing I do agree with you on is that Eric does have a good heart, and by saying that, you should know that he looks after his employees, always with the best intentions. Marines are team players Respectfully Joel
