Had half of our home sided by Empire Today -- the top half had been done by someone else prior to this. What a nightmare.

They left garbage everywhere. They didn't do the columns on the porch -- said it wasn't in the contract. What did they think, I wanted a green sided house with peeling brown porch columns? They secured their scaffolding to my brand new roof and tore off the shingles in two spots when they removed it. They knew we were having a storm door put on the front door but did the siding there without telling us that it would have to be ripped off to put the door on -- our problem, they said. The storm door is sitting on our porch and we can't get it put on without having to replace the front siding around the door.

They were here on and off for a month then popped up one day wanting a $10,000 check. Told them I had to transfer the money from an online ING account and it would take at least two business days to clear. Made the mistake of giving them a check on the promise they would hold it. This was a Friday afternoon. They deposited it Monday and bounced everything in my account. The guy said my fault because I didn't keep the 10 grand in my checking account.

Then today, about six months after they finished the job, my husband notices the siding had come a portion of the side of the house. He's up there putting it back on as I write this.

Empire Today might be cheap, but you get what you pay for.
