Hello. I am writing because I have been the victim of consumer fraud and need some help. I recently hired a business to build a sunroom onto my house. The company's name is Enclosures Plus, Inc. located in Voorhees, NJ.

Well, the owner, Mr. Dave Stafford, told me it would take 5 days to build. Basically, he started the first week in May and didn't finish until the end of June, which was two months. Also, it really isn't finished because it failed all township inspections (even failed a reinspection when Mr. Stafford came and took a piece of skirting off so they could look under the structure- the skirting is still off, he hasn't come back to put it back on).

The sunroom has, but not limited to, the following problems: the roof leaks, two windows won't close because the sliding doors were not put in level and the off balance was filled in with caulking, the steps he built come off the ground when you walk on them and are split and warped.

I have trouble locking/unlocking my sliders with keys provided, the electrical work that was done almost caused a fire and the one porch light needs to be replaced, he never closed off under the house so animals won't get in as promised.

The handle broke of the screen doors, I can't open/close my screen sliders because they were built too close to the step railings and have gotten holes in the screen from rubbing against the wood and they come off track and can't be used.

These are just some of the problems I am having with this sunroom. I have been calling him since the end of June 2001 with

no response. I did catch him at his office once and he said he would send them out immediately and call his electrician to get out and fix the light situation.

It has been a month and a half with no response and he has not

come through on his promises. I have a contract in writing that the 'complete structure' is guaranteed for 15 years. I am at the point where i do not trust his 'shotty' work and I no longer want his repairs, but I want him to pay for it to be fixed by a rep utable company.

I also want some sort of retribution due to the fact that I

hired him based on the 15 year warranty, but obviously he isn't going to be there for me for 15 years when he isn't there now.

I paid over $8,000 for this sunroom. I worked really hard for the money and want him to be stopped.

I feel he should lose his contractor/builder's license. I did file a claim with the Better Business Bureau and he has not responded to it. Can you guide me in the direction of how to stop this man and make him pay for his fraudulant actions.

Note: My neighbors had something built by him which leaked too and they called him for a few years and he did not fix it. (I didn't know it was the same man when I hired him or I wouldn't have hired him.) He only fixed their roof when he was cornered because he was at my house across the street building my sunroom.

Please help me fight this man.

Thank you,

Rachel Hayes
