After purchasing e-books from Robert Allen online, I was contacted by telephone and informed I had been chosen as a candidate for a mentoring program, designed to help me succeed, and that my success story would be used in a future Robert Allen promotion. The sales pitch was very slick, almost like a job interview. It was designed to make the prospect (me) feel very special to have been "chosen" for this opportunity.

The salesperson "interviewed" my wife and I to see if we would be good candidates for the program. In response to these questions, we shared our hopes and dreams, our present financial situation and, oddly enough, our available credit card limits.

I'm ashamed to say that after 49 years in the School of Hard Knocks, I fell for it hook, line and sinker to the amount of $8,380. Looking at the other posts here, I think that might be a record!

What I got for that was the right to build my website at Vermotion, for a hosting fee of $39/ month, 10 sessions of 30 minutes weekly with my mentor, a copy of R. Allen's "Multiple Streams of Internet Income", the services of "The Tax Club" to help us incorporate, an audio book, the internet course on CD and some other stuff.

My mentor is a nice guy, but he is reading the lessons pretty much verbatum. The Tax Club messed up my incorporation documents and really did not explain our options. The other material is just a repeat of the same stuff. The Vermotion site builder is not very user friendly and has very limited templates available.

I've been at it almost a month now, and all the research on the net trying to find a drop-shipper led me to a "real" company that will do everything EPMG promised for less than half the money. They've been in business helping merchants since 1955.

With EPMG, you work your tail off, get the opportunity to spend more money around every corner, and...........?

I called and asked for a refund and and address to ship all the materials back. The contact's name was Curt. He pretty much told me no refund, the deal was iron-clad from their end, the SEC had approved their "Warranty of Service" and said warranty was written so that a sixth grader could read and understand it.

Surely he wasn't questioning my reading and comprehension.

My next step is a letter writing campaign to company officers. Hopefully someone will have mercy and refund my money.

Energy Professional Marketing Group Aka Private Mentoring Group, PMG, Provo Utah, AGREEMENT REACHED FOR REFUND

After further discussion with Kurt B. at EPMG, an agreement was reached as follows: I will return all materials to them and they will refund my initial investment less 10% for services rendered to date. This agreement is entirely satisfactory, and I appreciate Kurt's professionalism and willingness to work with me in resolving this issue.
