I received a mailer about an awaiting package delivery and it had a phone # for me to call.

So, I dialed the # and a person spoke to me and offered water testing for our new home and also offered a bottle of tide in lieu of the time we spend with him.  Since I’m a first time home buyer, I was curious to know about the water that I would be using in my home and scheduled an appointment with them for a Saturday.

Salesman Diwakar Gauchan came to my home, tested my water, and concluded that the water in our house was not safe to use and suggested a filter be installed and pitched his product. After receiving a final offer of $5k for purchase of the filter system he promised I would be contacted from his office the following week to receive some Promotional items:

•    2 shower heads

•    12,000 points in healthy living

•    $4000 grocery savers

•    28 pc cookware, upon submitting all paperwork in time allotted within 30 days of purchase.

So, I paid the $5k using my credit card as I feared the water was not good in our city and it would cause harm to my 8 month old baby. The company was quick to install the unit.

A week went by and I never received a call and was starting to wonder…mean while the city inspector left a warning on my front door saying the plumbing was not done correctly for the filter unit. I called the city inspection department and inquired about what was not installed incorrectly and the Inspector said I need to have a back flow prevention system, anti freeze mechanism and insulation for the unit.

So, I called the office of Environmental Marketing Concepts and talked to the receptionist about the Inspectors comments and she said she will forward the information to the appropriate person and have him called me back, but they haven't called back.

I kept calling the office and I would get the same response from the receptionist (Carol Cox) for weeks…meanwhile the city inspection department is pushing me to fix the problem by being compliant to city laws…Since I was not getting an answer from Environmental Marketing Concepts the city inspection department suggested I find a certified plumber and have this fixed…after some research on Angie’s List I found a plumber who had good reviews and called him. He offered to come and take a look and give me an estimate. To my surprise it costed me additional $2500 to get in compliance with city inspection department.

Eventually the office receptionist stopped answering my calls…so, I drove down to the office address listed on the paperwork to find out that their office was locked…I found the contact information of the leasing office and tried to enquire but the leasing office said they cannot provide their tenants details without their authorization.

I kept stopping by their office in Irving, TX at various different times of the day and the office was always locked. A few days later the office was vacated…

I also tried calling the Aqua Pro Systems office in Florida and reported them about the problem and they said they will contact the dealer Environmental Marketing Concepts and have them call me…but I never heard from them…

I then started researching about the salesman Diwakar and found this guy Steve Fischer on linkedin who appears to be the owner of Environmental Marketing Concepts and tried to contact him and explain about the situation but he never replied.

After some more research on the internet and talking to some of my friends, I got to know that the $5k price tag that they sold me for was about 3 times higher than the market price…This Company has ripped me off and put a huge financial stress on my shoulders…
