Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I received a letter in the mail for a free 8 day cruise and flight for 2 anywhere in the United States just for listening to a 90 minute presentation about a discount travel club.  I attended the seminar and was promised substantial discounts on travel packages.  They stated that they have been in business for over 20 years.  The deal was $9,000 up front and a $250 per year fee.  At the end of his presentation he said that the first couple to sign up would get a $1,000 discount.

At the end of the seminar, we had a salesperson come over to discuss this offer with us.  I mentioned that it was too much and I had better things to spend my money on.  He dropped the price down to $6,000 immediately.  I said it was still too much.  He left and another salesperson came over.  She stated that somebody defaulted on their payments so that I could have it for $2,300.

I asked her to show proof that I could save money with the company.  She logged onto the website with her account and I asked her to find a cruise to Alaska.  The price on their 'discount' site was the same as that on the Carnival Cruise Lines website!  Why would I pay for a service that is already provided for free by other travel sites!?  I turned it down and they gave us our 'free' travel coupons.  We left at that point.

I decided to look up the company.  They stated to have been in business for over 20 years, yet a WHOIS look up of  their domain name http://epicadventuresinc.net indicates it has only been registered since May 2, 2012!

The 'free' travel vouchers are with Millennium Travel and Promotions.  You can find plenty of complaints about this company all over the Internet.  They make you jump through so many hoops that most people just give up.  They also state that you are responsible for fees, taxes, port fees, and transportation.  What!? I am responsible for transportation costs on my flight/cruise!?  Isn't a flight or a cruise considered transportation? People that have actually gone through with this have ended up paying more for their 'free' travel than if they booked it through a legit travel site.

Well, I am relieved that we didn't fall for either of these SCAMS!
