At the time of the unemployment situation, there were several attempts made to contact the EY offices in Tukwila at the time and no one answered any phone calls. Everything went to voice mail. I was beginning to wonder if they were even in business anymore. EY clearly dropped the ball in the situation and once they discovered I was back at work at two years later, they got the collection agency after me.

I did find someone that I met through another Christian dating service that didn't cost me that amount of money that you charged. My issue with your company is that you run a Christian dating service and putting people into collection agencies isn't biblical and you ought to know better. I don't think that I need to thumb through The Bible quoting scriptures about how wrong it is for a business that claims to be Christian to take another Christian brother to a collection agency or to court. The Bible says that there are other ways to work it out.
Why would I need to use a dating service when I was out of work at the time and if I wasn't using the services then why stand behind the contract? If you really wanted this to be a legitimate Christian business you would have been aware of that and destroyed the contract. I did contact you by letter concerning the situation. It was amazing that I had a sleezy collection agency calling me right away when I got back to work two years later. You know how bad things were in the Seattle area after the dot.com bust.
I only belonged to the service in the first place because some of the staff went to my church at the time. It is a major ministry in the Seattle area and we had a big singles group that met on a regular basis. It really wasn't necessary. It's amazing too that some of those staff members didn't attend the same church after awhile. I know that can happen when someone threw them under the bus at the church for their business practices especially when you use the church to gain business.
I have worked with the radio station that you paid advertising for and I'm not a big fan of his practices either. I left him a letter telling the company how I was treated by your organization and that perhaps that if Christa Ministries really practice what they preached, they should drop you and not worry about the loss of advertising revenue. Something better can come along. I guess its all about the money isn't it?
The only thing that I want from your staff is an apology in writing and assurances that your staff will never have to resort to such sleezy practices again. You can contact me through this thread if wish to step up to the plate.
EY in Seattle shouldn't have been too surprised by this thread, I stated the same thing back in 2004 when I wrote to the company and you gave me the year I paid for, and I didn't renew.
If you really want to run a Christian dating service, the best way to do it is in a biblical way in the first place. That's how you stay off of Riporrreport and Google. I thought there were too many sugar coated results from the search engine.
Since this thread was started, I have relocated to Albany, OR. You shouldn't have trouble finding me.

Although this has been well more than four years ago we certainly want to make sure that customers understand that whenever a member stops paying a number of calls are made and then a letter is sent out notifying them of the course of action to be taken. Once a member responds we work with them to either make their payments more affordable or defer payments to help them out. When a member has unfortunately been sent to collections it is typically because they have not responded to our phone calls or letter. If Tim would like to call us at 877 838-8340 we would be more than happy to work with him to give him additional value for the membership he purchased.
Blessings,
