eStockdeals.com Website appears totally legit, offering items in every category. In the end, they stole $80 from me and then hacked into my Chase Visa and eBay accounts. Oakland California
I agree 100% with Tiffany's description of this bogus website and shipping company posted on 11/29/2017 and wish I could've seen her post before placing an order on 11/20/2017.
As a rule, I order only through Amazon as know I am 100% protected as a Prime member. In this case, I could not find the item (Worx leaft blower/mulcher) through any sites and wanted this badly to get my leaves mulched for gardens before snow flies here in Michigan.
When I entered my Chase Visa information, the card would not go through. I called and a female told me that it just may be my card didn't pass something in their security and I could use eCoins or a gift card to pay. I, not using my brain, decided for the first time ever to pay online without using a credit card and purchsed an Amazon gift card to purchase the item.
Within a week my Amazon Chase Visa was hacked, making iTunes purchases, which Apple's security caught and notified Chase after 2 purchases went through. Chase notified me, canceled my credit card, and locked my other accounts held with them. I was so busy trying to secure all my online data (especially adding two-factor authentication to all online accounts), I wasn't dealing with the fact that the shipping information I was viewing didn't seem legit, and USN Carrier in NJ would not respond to a call or email.
I have contacted Amazon, and they are investigating this fake company and trying to get my $80 back, which will take an act of God, as I am sure they have already spent the money. Amazon could see name/address of the person who redeemed the gift card immediately after I sent it, but of course, due to privacy issues will not release any information to me. Same thing with Apple not releasing the information of the party who used my card to make iTunes purchases.
Last night I could access eStockdeals.com website and this morning I can't, so wonder if they have changed domain/name of their site. I am still going to file a report with FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center and would suggest anyone else who has been ripped off do the same so that they receive more than one complaint.
Bottom line: No matter how badly you think you need a material possession, NEVER EVER make an online purchase if they don't allow you to use a credit card.
