Everest Consumer Services Credit Card Scam Champain New York
I had the same experience you all outline -- Joyce from ECS called and said they were the co-signer on a guanrateed issue credit card from a local bank, specifically a MasterCard.
They have debited the $299.00 from my account and I am going to my bank (I happen to bank with Wachovia) and I am going to ask for an ACH reversal on the charge on the grounds that ECS misrepresented the product I was signing up for.
I can provide the new clearing-house the company is using now, though. According to my bank, the new clearing house is called AIG. I will update after I have visited my banker.
