This morning I received an e-mail from my bank saying my account was overdrawn. When I checked my account I found a charge for $54.95 from Everprivatecard for my husband. Trouble is he is out of town on Army Reserve Duty without access to a computer.

When I called my bank they were actually familar with this company and refunded the money to my account. The customer service rep even told me how they did this. A pop up or e-mail comes in with the yes box tagged. If you close this pop up or e-mail without selecting no, you are automatically charged for the card. She said this usually happens visiting a pay day loan site and entering bank info. I did visit a few of these sites but do not remember a pop up.

This company has caused me considerable trouble as I was told to close my bank account and open a new one. I will have to get new checks, deposit slips, change my husband's two direct deposits to the new account and notify every company that has a direct payment coming from my account. My husband is flying home from California in a few days and won't have any money for travel expenses because his debit card will be inactive.

I e-mailed a complaint to Everprivatecard but was told it was my own fault because I had to agree to it to be charged. They even claimed to have sent me an e-mail confirmation which I don't recall reading. I have asked to have a copy of that e-mail showing the date and time sent but I have yet to receive it.
