The developer from http://screenshot-program.com Evgeny Suslikov (AKA

user: 182054 susbox, his on-line name on Mozilla) makes very big claims

via Mozilla website and his own about his firefox add-on software

called Fireshot, which you are as a user encouraged to trial. Reading

the reviews many folk are happy with its performance, some proclaim him to be 'king', some are not so happy.

Irrelevant say I! To me anyway.  I trialled it, bought the pro version

with 'a discount' which still ended up being $41.59 and got locked into a nasty battle via

email of 'honour your promise and give me back my money in full' to no avail.

I bought it with the knowledge that if anything were to go wrong,

his

claims of '30 day money back and committed to customer satisfaction'

would surely make this  a safe purchase?  I had no idea that holding

customers money was the only thing on this greedy little persons mind.

Have a bowl of borsch on me!!! His claim, nay policy is this:  "If

for any reason you are unhappy with our software, simply contact us

within 30 days of purchase for a full no-quibble refund." would

surely cover me.  I found that the software used far too much memory

and caused not only firefox to crash but also my own computer so I

asked for my FULL refund - which, oh yes I was entitled to because that

is what he promotes to his potential customers. The issue began when he offered to pay in the 'next two days'

(ten days ago now and no sign of that 'no quibble' refund)  $34.95 back

and the rest which would make the total amount paid of  $41.59 could be

'claimed from the reseller/processor' from their VAT' .

I of course was annoyed at this, as this is hardly a 'no-quibble'

refund policy then is it?

Irritated already by the time spent emailing for this

illusive FULL refund, I told him 'no, it wasn't up to me to ask for the

additional money back'.  I paid it in full why would I go looking for

pennies in different pots? He of course didn't like being told 'no' and

that I would contact whatever official organisation to report his

business practice; so of course, small minded developer runs and hides

with $41.59 in his grubby little hands and will not make the refund and neither will his reseller Magdalena Costean  Avangate Financial Operations Specialist at avangate.co m, Their policy it seems is to screw the customer too.

A little about avangate.com the company who refuses to refund even

though they are the company who took my money for his bloated software

browser crashing software:

We are committed to helping software vendors sell their products online and through global distribution networks. We believe in strong, long-term customer relationships. really?

We are passionate about software.

You see, the developer is their 'client' so the response i got via paypal was 'The refund must be approved by www.screenshot-program.com ' and I certainly know by now that Mr Evgeny 'no quibble refund'

Suslikov has no interest in giving anyone their money back when they

ask for it...so bang goes any customer care, but mucho wonga collected

over time for his borsch pot!

I have since written over fifteen emails to the developer and to avangate.com the resellers and neither will give my money back even though they have stopped the license from working in the software.

To top it all, on seeking advice, it seems that anyone in the know from

trading standards to on-line lawyer forums seem to think that the distance selling regulation law should

somehow protect the customer from companies such as these who want to rip off

customers on-line.  It does not - certainly not to my knowledge and I

have looked high and low for advice and help on this issue.

Neither are you protected by paying through paypal as I stupidly thought.  PayPal only protect you on "Claims can only be made for physical goods that can be posted." so

the claim I opened was promptly closed.  Now you're not telling me that

these developers/companies don't know where they stand regarding

selling via the internet and that the customer has no real way of

fighting back to get money back let alone be protected.  So this makes

the internet one dangerous place to shop.

The rise in e-commerce business and

internet shopping makes you wonder why there isn't a formal centralised body who

takes charge and offers a one stop help centre for on-line shoppers. There are no rules,

no real laws which

are enforced encourage con men such as this to rip

people off when they fancy playing at being spiteful little boys

running internet business's.  So it makes it ok to keep people's money,

to

make false claims and still plug your wares on-line for some other

dweeb to come along and be fooled by your shiny refund policy, just

like I was. I

am sickened that

there is no official body to prevent idiots like this from trading and

to protect customers on-line.  I was even thinking of booking a flight

over to Russia to pay him a visit and see what happens when he's

confronted by an irate customer  resembling Margaret Rutherford in

tweed, being thumped with a parrot handled umbrella, rather than

tapping into

his keyboard in his bedroom and ignoring the fact that he made a

promise to all potential customers and he welched on that promise -

happily. Lets see what refusal to refund looks like

then.  I'm due some annual leave, no real hardship to book a flight or

to dig out the ole hunting suit.

I am angry at being conned, I'm angry that Mozilla are happy to support this fraud, I'm angry that there is NOTHING to protect the customer on-line.  That this developer is punting his wares

via the Mozilla/firefox community and there are probably so many more like him.  I have no way of actually

getting my money back is bad enough, but that he gets away with it

thinking he can make customers feel they can trust him with his wild

claims of no quibbling full refunds.  I have no doubt that I will never

see my money again but I want to ensure that no one else falls foul of this tight

pursed money grabbing excuse of a bedroom business man/boy/borsch eater who knows no

bounds and fails his GCSE on customer service!

Take my advice and beware when shopping on-line especially when the

items you purchase are not for physical goods

because there is no one you can rely on other than the integrity of the

person who is selling those wares and in this case, there was none..

Message to the developer; You're not honest as you stated.  Shame on you young man!!
