Hi,
The email you received was a receipt, informing you that your card had been charged by a merchant who uses eWAY to accept payments.
As a data processor, eWAY doesn't touch your money. We cannot process refunds on behalf of our merchants, and privacy rules forbid us from giving out their private contact details to third parties. But if you think the charge is incorrect and you can't get in touch with the merchant, you can easily request a charge back from your bank (as you have done with Chase).
Thanks for your feedback, and for the opportunity to explain how eWAY works and the process for challenging an unauthorised payment.
Kind regards,
The eWAY Team
