1)Angie got caught trying to obtain perscription medicine with a forged document. She is still facing criminal charges. 2)Pat England and Ron Talbott got raises and promotions after obtaining forged and faked documents from a diploma mill in Mississippi. Neither has offered to pay the TAXPAYERS back and neither are facing criminal charges. Now.....................who's the real criminals here? THEY ALL ARE but one evidentally didn't have the PULL to stay on with the BCSO. GOOD JOB JIMBO!

Why is it that every time one of Blount'cs finest gets into trouble, it's always one that has recieved some sort of award from the sheriff? Why is it always one that has "moved up the ladder" so to speak? Then when they get caught red-handed, like the recent diploma scandal, they d nothing to remedy the situation and most of the time the sheriff gives them a promotion! I just don't get it! The BCSO is severely lacking in not only leadership but also in integrity and intelligence.

Former Blount deputy arrested for prescription fraud By: Jake Jost, Investigative Producer Date created: 11/14/2007 4:40:34 PM Last updated: 11/14/2007 5:52:10 PM A decorated former Blount County deputy has been arrested on charges of prescription fraud.Advertisement Up until two weeks ago, Angela Thompson was a deputy with the Blount County Sheriff's Office. Thompson was a corporal in the patrol division and supervised the K-9 unit. Tuesday, she was arrested by her former colleagues on prescription fraud charges. The complaint in criminal court says Thompson picked up a fraudulent prescription refill on Tuesday for Zolpideum Tartrate, the Schedule IV narcotic known commercially as Ambien. That refill is also alleged to be from a fraudulent prescription called in on October 26,2007. A spokesperson for the Blount County Sheriff's Office said the investigation is ongoing. Blount County Sheriff James Berrong has not yet issued any statement on the investigation. Thompson had been with the Blount County Sheriff's Office for several years. In 2002, she was named Officer of the Year. Thompson resigned from the sheriff's office in a letter dated November 6th, citing personal reasons.

From what I understand, the BCSO has quite a few deputies on drugs.
Maybe Angie Suttles Thompson should have been drug-tested on a "randomly, monthly" basis like Chief Ron Talbott mentioned in the citizens meeting when I asked him if they were still drug testing.
RANDOMLY, MONTHLY DRUG TESTING. What the heck does that mean?
RANDOMLY, MONTHLY? lol How stupid do these deralicts think the general public is?
I guess I got my answer on whether anybody in the BCSO has a drug problem when Angie Suttles Thompson was busted.
There was an update in todays Daily Times explaining that the incident happened at the foothills CVS and was a refill. That means that it all hapopened while she was an employee with the BCSO. That also means that this isn't the first time.
Nice pick, Jimbo. really good to know what kind of people you give authority and weapons too. That's great. Real good job!
They even voted this deralict "employee of the year in 2002." UNBELIEVEABLE! Stuff like this should make people wonder about what else is going on at the BCSO.
