Dec. 6th, 2013: The Texas Medical Board (TMB) finds Men’s Edge Medical Center (MEM) guilty of wrong doing. Dr. Crider enters Remedial Plan agreement (reg.tmb.state.tx.us/OnLineVerif/Phys_ReportVerif_new.asp), (Document- public.tmb.state.tx.us/WebDocuments/StreamView.aspx).
Action Date: 12/06/2013
Description: ON DECEMBER 6, 2013, THE BOARD AND JULIUS PAUL CRIDER, M.D., ENTERED INTO A NON-DISCIPLINARY REMEDIAL PLAN THAT REQUIRES DR. CRIDER WITHIN ONE YEAR COMPLETE THE MEDICAL JURISPRUDENCE EXAM WITHIN THREE ATTEMPTS, AND, WITHIN 60 DAYS, PAY AN ADMINISTRATIVE FEE OF $500 PER YEAR. THE BOARD FOUND DR. CRIDER MIXED DOSES OF INJECTABLE SOLUTIONS IN HIS OFFICE FOR INITIAL TESTING OF PATIENTS. THE PATIENTS PAID DR. CRIDER DIRECTLY FOR THE COST OF THE MEDICATION THAT WAS DISPENSED BY DR. CRIDER. DR. CRIDER DOES NOT ADMIT OR DENY THE FINDINGS BUT AGREED TO THE REMEDIAL PLAN TO AVOID THE COST AND UNCERTAINTY OF LITIGATION.
This unequivocally shows that MEM is guilty of wrong doing. However, the law holds the doctor, whose license is being used for operations, accountable. In this case, the evil sources behind the crimes are the doctor owner, doctor expansion partners and the office manager, none of which have been held accountable. The TMB was provided details, including names and dates, of many occurrences of wrong doing, and easily provable. This limited and questionable remedial plan shows the incompetence of the TMB and that Texas continues to be the “Ripoff Capital of the World”, and is not actively protecting the health, welfare and safety of the citizens it was created to protect.
Unfortunately, the remedial plan that gives the impression of consequences well into the future was terminated: Action Date: 02/06/2014 Description: ON FEBRUARY 6, 2014, REMEDIAL PLAN TERMINATED DUE TO COMPLETION OF ALL REQUIREMENTS. This shows that the indiscernible remedial plan is just a smoking mirror and another example of how Texas’ agencies are more interested in protecting businesses, in this case doctors, rather than the public. This is appalling and unacceptable in a civilized society!

One must keep in mind that serious injury and
death can, did, and will result from rogue medical facilities that are not
properly supervised and controlled by regulators, such as the recent
multi-state outbreak of Fungal Meningitis and other infections killed 64 people and sickened 750: … ”These compounding companies concoct their own batches of drugs and are subjected to much less legal oversight and regulation on safety procedures as (than) most large pharmaceutical companies. …”: guardianlv.com/2013/11/fungal-meningitis-outbreak-lets-rethink-back-pain-treatment/

Here are more facts since the initial report:
On Tuesday, March 26th, 2013, The BBB of Dallas issued a consumer alert regarding Men’s Edge Medical Center of Dallas (bbb.org/blog/2013/03/ed-treatment-alternatives-can-carry-a-high-price/, http://www.dallas.bbb.org/article/Mens-Edge-Medical-Centers-Practices-Raise-Concerns-40951), which was immediately published by newspapers around the DFW metroplex. On Wednesday, March 27th, 2013, WFAA Channel 8 news featured the alert on the 6p.m. evening news. Jason Wheeler is WFAA’s lead Consumer Investigative Reporter (wfaa.com/on-tv/bios/184017161.html). Another staple of Men’s Edge Medical’s pattern of dubious offerings is testosterone therapy, of which dangers were featured on CBS This Morning on Wednesday, Nov. 6th, 2013,: cbsnews.com/video/watch/?id=50158598n.
This report is about life & death, good & bad, right & wrong, public health & safety, and accountability within our healthcare system. This is not intended to cast negative dispersions on legitimate medical providers within the ED treatment industry who follow all laws all of the time, and who ethically treat the few individuals who can honestly benefit from such current state-of-the-art treatments, such as Boston Medical Clinic: dallas.bostonmedicalgroup.com/. One must keep in mind that serious injury or death may result from rogue medical facilities that are not properly supervised by regulators, such as the recent multi-state outbreak of Fungal Meningitis and other infections: usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/09/17/fungal-meningitis-outbreak-anniversary/2824263/.

Do not be fooled by the post by Justice in America about Mens Edge Medical Center. The truth is that the writer of that post is a disgruntled former employee who was terminated for being intoxicated on the job. The action to discharge this employee was upheld by the Texas Workforce Commission after a hearing. Since then this employee has been on a campaign of lies and defamation in an effort to seek revenge against Mens Edge Medical Center.
The report is full of bombast and hyperbole, and is unsupported by any facts. Although the writer claims to have knowledge of improper conduct, he provides absolutely no facts supporting any such allegation. Nor can he, because there are none. The writer is spewing his lies solely because he was fired for cause. Dont be fooled by
him.
