This is the first real estate company with an MLM feel to it.
If you're an agent RUN AWAY! Don't get involved!
If you're thinking of buying a franchise, RUN AWAY! Don't get involved!
To acquire a franchise as a broker, you have to BUY a geographic area from the person who owns & operates in your area. YOU would need to follow all the rules, guidelines and pay all the franchise money to that person and Exit corporatation on EVERY transaction plus annual fees.
What do you get? NOTHING!
The Exit web site isn't designed to generate leads for you; the Exit person who sold you the franchise rights to an area isn't required to offer any help or consulting. Exit Realty gives you NOTHING in return. PLUS - you're locked into a non-competing agreement for FIVE YEARS after the franchise agreement ends. This means, even if you leave the Exit system, you cannot open your own real estate brokerage.
I've heard many horror stories about Exit corp and their regional consultants. Did you know the guy who runs the Arizona Exit companies had his real estate license revoked due to shady dealings?
If you're thinking of getting into real estate as a profession, go some place other than Exit Realty!! (I wouldn't even let them sell my house or find me a place to buy).
