Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Your company is only as good as the people you hire; unless this is your intention outlandish ripoff late fees .....

The nightmare started September 2002 because of my present situation. I did not receive my check in time to purchase homeowners insurance. So they forced placed insurance on me. As soon as I got my check, I bought my own homeowner's insurance effective 10-3-2002. I sent

them a copy with my October mortgage payment and the insurance company sent proof as well Problems solved, or so I thought.

Due to someone in the payment department not paying attention, he/she, took my payment and applied it on one of the loans instead of both. I have had debt collectors calling...I have called numerous times and talked to supervisors in order to get this resolved and was told that it was under investigation.

I requested that they put something in the computer so they debt collectors know its under investigation, therefore....stopping the calls, stopping the harassment of me due to the fact that I DO NOT OWE A DIME.

At this time I have received a demand letter stating I am in default of my loan. I called again on November 16, 2002 and talked to Ronald. I was told that unless I pay the amount that they say I owe, this action will continue.

Realizing it was just going to get worse and I could loose my home because some data entry person hit the wrong key, I got on the net and went to BBB and found out who to talk to at Fairbanks and I e-mailed her. This is her response - verabatum

From: "Debbie Elliott"

I have received your e-mail. I am reviewing your two accounts. I have the insurance department reviewing the forced place insurance issue. I have spoke with the cashiering department to have your payment from 10/15/02 which was applied to account number 700326xxxx as a principal curtailment to be reversed and applied as a payment on account number 700326xxxx.

This will make account number due for 11/01/02. Escrow claims you had a lapse in coverage they are reviewing this now. This is the reason they are escrowing your account. I have put your accounts in dispute and requested no phone calls. As soon as your accounts is fully reviewed I will advise you of the status.

Thanks,

Debbie

Once again, I thought problems solved. They forced placed insurance on me again. I e-mailed Debbie. I told her my attorneys name. She fixed it quick. I continue to get delinquency notices because they havent updated my payment notices - to spite the fact a letter I received from the insurance department saying they did. My credit has been seriously affected.

Then theres the

fact that Fairbanks sent me a letter saying they notified all credit reporting agencies to correct it. I even faxed it to them. They said when they called Fairbanks they were told the 30 day late was correct. So I e-mailed Debbie again. Now my February payment is coming due- statement still not right. This time I am going to e-mail Debbie before I make my payment. Maybe that will do it.

I am realizing Fairbanks is a company that is out to foreclose on your home. They make up ways to keep you aggravated while they send you letters apologizing for it at the same time. HELP!

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, its paid for!
