After reading all these entries about Fairbanks I was surprised! I thought I was the only one that had problems with them!

My loan, like many others on this site, was bought by Fairbanks back in October 2002. I too was not notified until 1 day before my payment was due. I had already sent my payment to what I thought was my lender. Fairbanks lost it, then called me every three days telling me I was late and that if I did not pay, they would start foreclosure. I insisted I was not late and sent them all the documentation proving it!!

They continued to badger me to the point of harassment. I even told them if they continued to harrass me, I would sue them for harrassment! They didn't care and continued to call me.

Finally, I sent them the documentation via U.S. Express Mail requiring a signature. I sent it to both the Arizona address and the Austin Texas address. I gave them a copy of my original note and a copy of all my payments to date showing I was not in arrears. It took them a total of 3 months to finally fix their mistake. I never received an apology and I had to pay for interest accrued that should not have.

Also, they paid my property taxes late and my homeowners insurance company cancelled my insurance for non-payment. The proof of this is that my policy expiration date is no longer 12/31 it is now in mid January because of their failure to pay. In addition, I was not covered for those 15 days! Luckily nothing happened to my home!

If anybody needs me to sign an affidavit, please do not hesitate to contact and I will be more than happy to do so!

Fairbanks began servicing our loan on April 01 2002.On April 16th 2002 a Fairbanks rep. was sent to my home, the represenitive told me that "she was sent to find out if the home was still occupied".Then she handed me a piece of paper that had a number to call, and she left. I called the number, and Fairbanks asked me when I could have the April Payment sent to them, I told them that it ws not due till April 24th and it would be there. My payment was sent, and starting on June 13th 2002,I began reciveing certified demand letters stating that we needed to send them over $1,000 or we would lose our home.At this moment Fairbanks still say we owe $2,055. I began sending copies of our receipts showing that we have sent our payments, most of them being through western union, but all I would get in return from Fairbanks customer service was " when can you pay the past due amount, and would you like to make a payment over the phone". I was furious, and I told them that I didn't owe what they were saying that I owed, and it continued getting worse from there. The calls from Fairbanks would start at 8am and go on till 8pm,wanting payments that we did not owe for,I again sent copies of western union receipts with the money transfer control numbers on the receipts, and I was told by Fairbanks that the MTCN were not valid ! It just never ending with this company, and it is so sad how many people Fairbanks have screwed over! ( How many of you recieved the video?) I did, and when I called the number, and told them why I was calling I would be disconnected. Fairbanks have sent me letters saying that I don't have any home owners insurance, I sent that proof as well, and they still insist that I don't have any coverage. I wish everone the Best of Luck, and I pray that each and everyone of Fairbanks victims gets their revenge against fairbanks capital corp. GOOD LUCK EVERBODY!!
