Family Care Plus hired me as a Field Supervisor. This would be my first experince in this field. I let the supevisor Madora know this. I had the first interview and then a second interview in which I got a call about two weeks later telling me they believed I would be a good fit to the company. Madora told me once I come in the office she would go with me into the field and show me what I needed to do. That never happen. My first day I sat at a desk for half the day before Madora even spoke to me. She then told me to assist another co-worker in providing supplies for caregivers. I spent the entire day doing that and answering the telephones(I was now the secretary). From that day fourth I spent days traing caregivers, packing supplies, doing interviews, helping Human Resource Dept find old employee folders and at one point was ask to handle a unemployment hearing(which I had no idea how to do or what to say besides that I believed that would have been against the law seeing I wasnt even a part of the company when this person was fired. Finally I was thrown into the field. I traveled throughtout Connecticut and Massachuettes(mind you when I left Ct. to go to Mass. I wouldn't reach back home sometimes until way after work hours and never got paid for it. My work hours were based on salary 8:30am-5pm. I would return from Mass sometimes after 10pm only to be at work again the next day at 8:30am. My Supervisors Madora and Leah both had different veiws of what I should be doing so I was just a pawn in thier little scam to hire someone who was really excited to get this position and use them until the work they needed was done(the company was being audited at the time of my hire. I was hire within 2 weeks of 2 other employees and they too were fired before 2 months(mind you I was a supervisor also so I sat in on one of the firings and really wasn't told why she was being fired) The words out of Madora's mouth was she wasn"t a good fit(funny that was the same thing they said to me when my time came). I know I did everything to the best of my ability and believe that this job let me go because I refused to stay at a motel the reserved for me in Mass. It had bedbug catchers on the post of the bed and unclean. I told Madora this and the next day I brought the money to her for the motel,,,she said keep it because the motel would reimburse the company. That was Friday, next Tuesday I was let cause I was not a good fit, I really was dissappointed and have yet to get over being let go from a job where I didn't even get 1 verbal or written warning. I feel like a fool when I left that job...it really hurt my confidence as a nurse. I warn you if you get a call for work with them ask questions and see what happens. Madora's motto "Don't do anything without letting me know first".
