Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
We were ripped off by a guy named Stan Sanoff who called our office and told us about FanFare Magaizine by Movie News. This guy was slick, talked us into letting his rep, SCOTT OSHATZ, come to our office and sold us a beautiful add for $1,352.00. The salesman took our check for$189.00 and we gave him authority to charge our business card for 4 payments of $338.00. RIPPED US OFF. The check was promptly cashed and our add was promptly cancelled. Additionally, when we went down to Edward's Theatres here in Camarillo where the magazine was suppose to be for free pick up by customers, NO MAGAZINE, at all.

THESE GUYS ARE SCAM ARTISTS. BEWARE

Response to dissatisfied customer---Ad sold on behalf of Fanfare Media Works

#2REBUTTAL Individual responds

Wed, May 13, 2009

First and foremost, I am truly sorry you feel deceived. However, I understand your frustration due to the lack of service and product delivery on the part of Fanfare Media Works. In the 26 years I worked for Fanfare Media Works and sold many millions of dollars worth of ads as their top sales man and Vice-President of the Print Division, I have only had two complaints waged against me, of which both are on this website. Up until a few days ago, I was completely unaware this website existed. (Thus, my lack of response to the other customer who posted a complaint.) That aside, please allow me to explain. Having had an exceptionally long and successful career at Fanfare Media Works, after much consideration, I decided to work for another advertisement media company. I began working at the new advertisement media company the beginning of 2009. Shortly thereafter, unbeknownst to me, Fanfare Media Works closed the Print Division of which I was once Vice-President. Once I learned the division was closed, I contacted Fanfare Media Works regarding the status of the ads that I had sold and they claimed that all of the ads that I and other ad executives had recently sold would not be printed, that ALL of the customers would be notified and would also receive a FULL refund. As a result, I did not receive any commission on any of the ads I sold that were never published. Again, I am truly sorry you did not receive your money back. At this point, because of my existing contract with my new company, there would be a conflict of interest if I tried to assist you in this matter. Therefore, I strongly encourage you to call Fanfare Media Works again at (800)888-3606. Sincerely, Scott Oshatz
