Fast Caskets The company defrauded me of $1,000.00 Salt Lake City Utah
I operate a funeral home and I ordered an oversized casket from Fast Caskets, to be exact it was a 34" wide interior solid wood casket. I only ordered the casket from them because they indicated they had the size I required, knowing full well that they did not. So What they did was to send me a 32" casket whcih I was not going to accept because they send it by courier. If the courier does not get a signature they will not deliver the casket. I called the company and someone who puported to be the son of the owner( I didn't get his name), indicated that if I would accept the casket that $1,000. oo would be deducted from the total cost and I then accepted the offer. I never received a credit to my credit card which is how payment was made. After numerous calls with no success I decided to dispute the claim with my credit card company and that failed also because I was not able to produce the name of the individual that was to deduct the $1,000.00. I'm used to dealing with vendors who are reputable and honorable. I don't have to get names in my dealings with any of the vendors I deal with. The workers/principals or whomever I dealt with are liars and deceivers and the truth is not in them. They never had a 34" casket to bein with but duped me into thinking they did and then duped me into accepting the 32" casket. Thanks be to God the deceased fit into the 32" casket with some manipulation.
