Fast Plumbing Overly expensive, overpriced, outrageous fees Austin Texas
I used Fast Plumbing and Lee Strickland (owner) many years ago. I was so satisfied with the quality of his work, his manner and professionalism, I had kept his information in my rolodex. Only companies that I've done business with before and found to be very fair are in that rolodex.
I had called Fast Plumbing to replace two silcocks (faucets) in my laundry room. This is work I could have done myself except that I am disabled and my right hand is part of that disability. But replacing to silcocks isn't hard, just turn off the main, unscrew the old, broken faucents, get your new faucets, wrap them with plumbers or Teflon tape, screw them on, check for leaks. It's a 15 minute job at most and five of those minutes are just waiting for the water in the system to drain.
So the last thing I expected for a simple job like this was an invoice for two hundred thirty eight dollars ($238.00)!! I actually asked the tech if he was serious. He told me he gets $218 for his labor and the parts were $15 each (I could have gotten them at Home Depot for half that).
I couldn't believe that this person was seriously charging me that much money after I told him I was disabled and lived on Social Security. Wow!
I reviewed them on Yelp!, but I have to warn others - Expect to get reamed if you hire Fast Plumbing in Austin, TX for anything!

Somehow, I mistook Fast Plumbing with another company. As a result, this review was written for the wrong company.
Truitt Strickland is a very nice, honest guy who runs a company that does very good work.
If I can find a way to remove this review, I would do so but fast. Hopefully when approved, the website will delete it for me.
I'm so sorry to Mr. Strickland for this undeserved review and any problems it may have caused him.
