Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Our troubles with the IRS has been going on since 2009.  David worked out of an office space that my brother did.  This is how we were referred to him.

When I first met him at his office, he came in in ratty blue jeans, teeshirt and flipflops.  I was very skeptical when I saw this, but he side this was a side business for him.  He went on to saying he was a "POW" from the Vietnam war.  Then he went on to say he was a "supervisor" with the IRS and that he wrote all the policies and knew how to get rid of all the interest and penalties.  He told me he worked for the IRS for over 20 years and then retired from the IRS and stated he worked for over 20 years with UPS.

Of course after hearing all his glowing resume of his life I trusted him.  My mistake!!!

I am on SSD and I have my own disabiity policy from my place of employment.  The disability company's name is UNUM, which is another ripoff company.  I had usually prepared my own tax papers, but due to the disability payments I was not sure how to due them.

My husband and I paid a lot of money for David to do our taxes and to amend 2008 and 2009 taxes.  On the amended, he apparently did something wrong and we stared getting letters from the IRS.  I gave them all to David to correct and of course paid him more money to fix his mistakes.  After a while we thought everything was ok, so we continued to use him until 2012, when we started getting letters again from the IRS saying we owed them thousands of dollars for those previous years

He left us hanging and wrote out a list of things for me to do to correct them!!

Whatever anybody does is their business, but if you use this "CTA" be prepared to having the IRS send you threatening letters after a few years, when they catch up to it and they WILL attach penalties and late fees to what you owe.

After all this, last year I was referred to a woman that was trained by the IRS to do taxes.  She also teaches people to do taxes for the people who can not afford to do them or to fix issues with others.  She was extremely nice and went through all my taxes from 2008 and was EXTREMELY mad at the man that had done ours.  She tried to fix them, but due to my disability company claiming my payments on a W-2 but third party sick pay, it continues to cause problems.

My next complaint will be with UNUM-my disability company,  which continues to report my payments on a W-2 and not placing the appropriate code in box 12.
