Finer Lifestyles Travel Brian Herman taking money for travel bookings and not sending to vendor Nationwide
Do not use this company for any travel related services. He has committed fraudulent activity with past companies.
Brian Herman operated a Cruise Holidays francise in Halifax, Nova Scotia. In June of 2013 he purchased the Cruise Holidays francise in Bedford Nova Scotia. Within months it became apparent that he was using questionable accounting practises when taking money from clients. He was putting payments through his bank accounts and not applying them to the client's bookings. By June of this year he had closed the Halifax francise retail outlet The leasing company is pursuing him for the remainder of the lease. His business partner resigned from the company and gave back the company shares. The corporate office of Cruise Holidays had cancelled his francise agreements for both stores. The retail store in Bedford was closed and no doubt they will also pursue him for outstanding money owed. He also owed to other vendors such as the phone company.
At this point the RCMP are investigating him for fraudulent practises. Criminal charges are likely to be levied against him by Cruise Holidays, a major cruise line, and numerous clients. He is being investigated by the Labour Board of Nova Scotia for not providing proper paperwork to staff and for non payment of wages. He owes months of commission payments to the independent consultants that were working for him.
He is operating Finer Lifestyles Travel without a valid IATA code. This code is required to book almost any kind of travel.
You will notice if you look at his website www.finerlifestylestravel.com that he says nothing about his company and valid experience. He doesn't want anyone checking into his background. It's likely that the testimonals are not valid ones.
Mr Herman is a sociopath who has no conscience - he will take your money to fund the lifestyle to which he thinks he is entitled and not think twice about the fact that you might have been saving for that trip for years. He even ripped off his own family members and caused a breakdown in his marriage.
