In April 2014, I purchased an SUV from Houston's First Auto Connection a.k.a. Fredy Kia by speakng with saleperson Mike Sab over the phone. I arranged to have the car shipped from Texas to Michigan and paid the dealership in FULL via wire transfer for the price of the car and shipping.  I was assured the car had not had any accidents or damage.  TOTAL PAID $51,309.01. The car was shipped in May to Michigan.  When I did not receive a title from the dealership by the end of May, I began calling and emailing every week.  The salesperson Mike Sab was very nice and tried to be helpful, but he could not get his title department to send me a title.  When I finallly spoke directly with the title company in June, I was told they LOST THE TITLE and had no idea where the "title package" was in their office.  Mike then told me the title person working on my transaction had been fired for doing a bad job.  Judy, the next title person I spoke with said they would send the title out right away to me in Michigan, but nothing was received.  I kept calling and emailing but would go a week or two without a response.  When my temporary tag on the back of my car that was generted by the dealership expired, Mike Sab created a new Bill of Sale and temporary title showing the car was purchased 6/25/14 and generating another temporary tag that expired 8/11/14 for me to put on the back of the car so I could drive it.

July 16, 2014 I received a call from the new owner of the house I sold that said I had an overnight package that arrived for me down in Florida.  I paid to Federal Express the package up to Michigan and dicovered it was a stack of paperwork from First Auto Connection that included a title, 3 title reasignments and an Affidavit of title correction.  I took the ducuments down to the Michigan DMV and was told it was "the biggest mess" they had ever seen by the supervisor at the DMV and the re-assignments were "fraudulently" completely and there was no "chain of sale" from the actual dealership.  They told me to contact the dealer to get a clear title because what I had received did not legally transfer title to me and had a variety of Odometer readings and was fraudulently completed. I Federal Expressed the paperwork back to Mike Sab at First Auto Connection and spoke with him about having his title department correct it.

A week later, having heard nothing from the dealership and after leaving 3 separate messages for Judy in the title department, I finally reached Judy and she said the informaton was on her desk but she had not started working on it.  She told me they had to re-apply for the title from an Auction and it could take weeks.  THEN I had the car into the Infinity dealership in Michigan and they told me Infinity records show the car was in an ACCIDENT and had been repaire and the bumber replaced.  Although the damage didn't show on CarFax because someone paid cash to repair it, the damage and repair was notated in the Infinity system and they told me any dealership would see it, plus the repair was obvious (new bumper and new paint) and that I was scammed.  I contacted Mike Sab yet again and he had his supervisor call me.  The supervisor was completely unprofessional and defensive, told me since Carfax showed no damage they were no responsible and also dismissed me that they were "working on it" with regards to the title.  Monday August 4th, having STILL not heard anything back from the dealership, I called 3 times and finally Mike was able to get the supervisor to call me back.  He said they would not give me any concession for the months that they had made me pursue them for the title, no concession for the misrepresentation of damage, that he was within his legal right not to have provided me with the title 3 months after the sale, and FURTHER he "Welcomed me getting an attorney" and had already provided the information to his company attorney.  I asked him to verify the address he was planning on sending the clear title and he said he didn't have that information and was hostile and combative.  We got off the phone and I emailed Mike Sab to confirm the mailing address for the title in Michigan and ask for the full name of the supervisor.  No response.  I filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General's Office and am left with no choice but to accept the supervisors challenge to pursue legal action for a remedy.
