First-Banner.com Rick Carlin, First Banner, Boost Browser, searchphrases.net, Rick Jarrett, Eric Jarrett Sells a fraud I was contacted by Rick Stevenson regarding banner ad advertising for my business. I was told that they have over 90 million computers across the country which had their "plugin " installed. This plugin (which is just malware) would allow anyone searching for my particular keyword (which I had to pay $2500 for in advance and would have sole ownership of for one year) to see a large banner ad at the top of the screen which when clicked on would bring the customer to my site. They also promised "at least 1500" hits to my site per month, which I would be able to monitor from their site using their statistics page. Once the money was paid, and everything was up and running, I started monitoring the hits form their site. I noticed the hits seemed to be just randomly generated. I compared it to the numbers which google Analytics showed, and they were drastically different. All in all, this company is a COMPLETE ripoff. Rick Carlin goes by many names and I see he also changes his company names too. During this acount he is using first-banners.com and also calls it "Adwords Banner".
He contacted me by email stating that I can buy my keywords which will trigger a banner ad on all search engines. This only works for consumers who have a certain "plug-in" on Chrome. I verified that the plug in does not exist. The traffic he promises to your website is fake. He has a "demo" in which you can try search words and see it pull up major ads (like for Starbucks, Walmart, etc). He has a client testimonials page that looks legit too. BUT the only people using his "plug in" are the people hes trying to sell services to.
He sold me 2 keywords for $2000 and insisted that I overnight my payment. He only takes payment by check or wire transfer (BIG RED FLAG).
He also has no physical address. He is using many Postal Annex mailboxes. Here are the ones I have on record for him:

For the past 2 years I have followed this company, and have called the company using a different name and website and keyword to get information about their services over that time and have found out they use different website names and contact names and Rick is always the name he uses, he just changed the spelling of his last name when it comes to his sales pitch and phone numbers. The location is the same and the bank information is the same also,just the name of the company is different that he uses, FedEx number is the same. His main company is Internet marketing services, check out the Scam Reports for this guy below, 2 weeks ago when I called he is now called searchphrases.net, and I also received 4 other spam emails from different company names that goes back to this guy.

New Name same scammers ((( MySearchWord.com ))))Buyer Beware!!! This company is a scam.
1. no information about the company exists except a couple of duplicate blog posts.
2. They use domain services that also hide their identity.
3. They only accept payment via wire transfer and over-night check.
4. Their off-site call takers use to give out the old business name as Keyword Advertising Edge.com until about a month ago they got an updated script. However the old 2013 youtube video has nearly an identical script and graphics as the video on their new website www.mysearchword.com, and now they just call themselves BannerAds while directing you to go their scam site www.mysearchword.com (see the 2013 youtube video here https://youtu.be/CLWgyZBGSvw ) Here's the betterbusinessbureau.org showing you the address of the Keyword Advertising Edge.com https://www.bbb.org/us/ca/westlake-village/profile/web-hosting/keyword-advertising-edge-1236-92013307 Isn't it interesting how the off-site call takers give out the old address of Keywordadvertising.com as the address of the new company name BannerAds for the scam websites www.mysearchword.com, etc.
5. Their websites : http://www.mysearchword.com & www.searchword.net have no information about them. This company leads victims to believe that if you buy specific keywords you will have your website magically pop up at the top of google, bing, yahoo, via a web browser extension called "promotion alert". They claim there are 40 million users of this browser. Funny how the 2013 youtube video boasts 90 million users of the browser extension.
6. "Promotion Alert" which is said to be offered by http://www.enhancedbrowsing.com is also a non existent website company.
7. You can not download the browser extension from the chrome web store. The people that answer the phone for this scam are "off site receptionist" I believe these receptionist are not apart of the scam. They are simply "work at home" call takers that read a script and get your information and pass it along to the scammers at http://www.mysearchword.com and www.searchword.net The receptionists will tell you the company they are taking calls for is called: bannerads or KeyWordAdvertisingEdge.com or whatever the flavor of the month is. The receptionists will not tell you the name of the company they are employeed by. The websites www.mysearchword.com , etc use a generic iframe website tool to fool you into thinking that the so called "Live Demo" you see is really showing your website at the top of google, bing, and yahoo. Do your research thoroughly you will see this company is running a scam. Warn others.
