First Capital Consumers Group Ripoff Promised two credit cards & bonus deceptive company Bufallo New York
An individual by the name of Toya called and said I was approved for a Mastercard. She said,I had two options and they were:
Option #1: (Silver Package) - I would receive a mastercard with a credit limit of $2000 and an application for a visa card with the same credit limit and a bonus gift of cell phone for $199, or
Option #2: (Gold Package) - Same as option 1, but the bonus gift will be a laptop computer and the cost would be $219.
She said, the money will be deducted from your checking or savings account on the date you specify. She then asked if I was interested and I told her yes, but I wanted to make sure that this was not a joke or scam. She assured me it was legitimate, gave me a PIN number and a telephone number and told me if I didn't received my credit card, I was entitled to a refund.
I took her at her word and gave her my account information and the date to deduct the funds and my desired package. I chose the silver package and the date to deduct funds was May 3, 2002. She said it would be 7-10 business days after the money was deducted before I received my card. Ten minutes later I received a follow-up call and again, I asked if this was true and he assured me that it was.
Well, it was May 8, 2002 when the money ($199) was deducted from my account and as of May 20, 2002 I have not received anything and no one ever answers at the telephone number given. After reading the ripoff report on May 14, 2002 that the company is a scam, I want to find out how I can obtain my stolen money.
