Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was contacted on June 24, 2002 with a credit card offer by a representative named Brandy Marshall, who claimed she worked for First Capitol Consumers Group. This offer was that I would receive a Master Card w/credit line of $2,000, and if I waited an additional 3 months after I received the Master Card, I could send off the application for the Visa and I would be given an additional credit line of $3,500 on the Visa. I was also promised a free cell phone, with this offer with 3,000 minutes free.

I explained to Brandy Marshall that I was leaving for a business trip to Brazil, if she could gaurantee me that I would receive the Master Card by July 12, 2002 I would agree to the $199 to be withdrawn from my bank account. She spoke with her supervisor and then came back to the phone and guaranteed me I would receive the Master Card by July 12, 2002. I was then given a pin# and promised, by Brandy, I would receive my credit card on time.

On June 28, 2002 I noticed the money had not been withdrawn from my account yet, so I contacted First Consumers to ask what was the hold up, due to fact I had been told by Brandy it would take 10 days after the withdrawl to recive the Master Card, I was told don't worry they would be withdrawing the money the next day.

After speaking with Brandy Marshall at (416) 488-4664 ext. 511, I asked to speak with a supervisor becasue I was concerned about receiving this card before July 12, 2002 as I was promised, because the money I was using for the Master Card was part of the money for my plane ticket to Brazil. I looked at it as an investment; I would spend $199 to get $2,000, boy did I get suckered. I was then given to a supervisor named Ginger Thomas, who was versed on my situation by Brandy before she spoke with me, Ginger Thomas asked me to hold on a minute she was going to take of this situation right away.

I could hear her call the customer service department and tell them that she wanted to personal pay for, out of her account, a Fed-Ex charge for my card to be sent out right away so I would receive it on time.

On July 9, 2002 my bank account was finally debited, at which time I called First Consumers and ask to speak with someone in a higher position other than the supervisor, Michelle Miller, I had just spoken with that infomed me I would not be receiving my card by July 12. The General Sales Manger, Phil with a Jamican accent, promised me, after hearing that I was very angry and crying, that he would personally handle this situation, his stated that the company is not in the business of mistreating people, and he would see to it that I would receive my card on time.

To make a complete long, long, story shorter, today is Ocotber 24, 2002, and I still haven't received my credit cards, I missed my business trip to Brazil, I'm out of $199 from this deal, I'm also out of approximately $400 in long distance phone calls to Canada, and I am a mother of 6 sons, who recently got laid off from a company I've been with for 3 years.

I've never been so pissed off in my life at a company. As of October 22, 2002, First Capitol Consumers phones have been disconnected, and it's no wonder.

I don't know if this will help, but enclosed is a list of all the phone numbers I have for First Capitol Consumers Group, and all the people I have spoken with in regards to this matter. I should have known something was wrong when this company called me from Toronto, Canada but they gave me an address in Buffalo, NY.

All the phone numbers I've been given are as follows: (416) 488-4664 ext.511, (416) 488-2792, (416) 488-2548, (416) 488-0219, 1-800-787-1583.

Here are all the people, and their titles, that I have spoken with: Brandy Marshall-rep.,

Michelle Miller-Supr., Ginger Thomas-Supr., Stacey-Supr., Phil-Gen.Manager, Jason W. Smith-Cust.Serv.rep., Patricia Clark-Cust.Serv.Supr., and Joy Brown-Cust.Serv.Head Manager.

In closing this is the very reason why people don't have any trust in our country anymore. I truly don't expect to receive anything back from this but, I will tell you this if I had enough money right now I would hire an attorney to track this dogs down, put their pictures on every televison station across the world so they would always be recognized where ever they went, and I would sue them for every dime they have. I would take every material possession they own, so they could see what it feels like to be without anything or any money to live on. I would make it difficult for them to make a better life financial for their family.

My dreams went down the drain after this situation, and believe me, you have no idea how bad things are for me right now. I guess I can't cry over spilled milk now, but I have truly learned a great lesson.

I am signing off as the most angry, hurt, broke, hoping to find money for Christmas for my sons, will never trust again, extremely tired and pissed-off woman in Northern California.
