First Capital Consumers Group ripoff victimized many consumers ,ripoff fraud business, false promises, ripoff Buffalo US & Ontario New York ..thank you Rip-off Report
Hi there.. I too was a victim of this company. It is a SCAM!! No doubt about it. I was called back on April 22nd and was told by a woman whose name i did not write down that i was eligible to receive two credit cards, a Mastercard and a Visa.
She said that they both would have a 2500.00 credit limit on them and would be at a 4.9% interest rate. I thought oh wow that is really good, then asked her to go on..She proceeded to tell me that i would receive the first card in a welcome package in about 10-14 business days and would get the other one later. I said okay well then tell me how much the fee is.
Well she said it would be 199.00 for the first offer of one card.. and 219.00 for both. or something like that. I said okay can you guarantee me that this is not a hoax or a rip-off cause i was very hesitant to give out any information over the phone.
She assured me it was not a scam, and gave me a customer service phone number to cancel if i chose to, so i thought how could i lose. Well also she gave me a pin number and said it was my membership number. I said how can you guarantee me that this is TRUE>. she said they worked with Mastercard to help find people good rates on credit cards so that they can have a good payment history. blah blah blah..
Anyway needless to say i fell for it and the money was taken out two days later.. i tried to stop it because i felt uneasy about have given my info over the phone. I have called every number i could find on this SO CALLED COMPANY who claims to be reputable.. yeah RIGHT!!!
I have spoken to about 6 different people on the phone who give me a different story every time.. i tell them i want my money back .. they say they will put a trace on my package.. i say NO >. i just want my MONEY back!!! okay well we will have so and so call you back.. la la la. And of course YOU GUESSED IT!! NO CALL BACK.
Well i have tried dealing with those people and have had all i can take. I went to my Bank and immediately put a STOP PAYMENT on my account so that they could not take any more FUNDS from my account. Also filed a Dispute that the money was taken out from a FRAUDALENT Company, and they are helping me and are giving me my money back within 7-14 business days. Thank Goodness. The Money i gave First Capital was from my vacation money.
Anyway i have chalked this up as an experience.. a STUPID mistake on my part for giving out my account info, NEVER give out any info over the phone.. i have never done that until now and will never again.
I hope that others will see this Website so that they can learn before hand about others mistakes with this company. They are out there and still LURKING to find more victims..
I want to help so that cannot happen again. THANKS for allowing me to write about this company. I hope something good comes out of a bad situation and they get this company and SHUT them down for good.. Thank you very much

I just wanted to do a follow up on my previous reports. I have been called by twenty of these darn people .. i get at least a call a day if not two, it slacked up a bit there for a while but now it is starting again. I am writing this to warn others that First Capital is using all kinds of different names. They are still out there trying to scam everyone who will let them.. PLEASE DON'T LET THEM!!!!! A company by the name of TRANSAMERICA called me from Ontario Canada... with the 416 area code and my husband answered and the nice lady fed him a bunch of bull, he said NO THANKS, let me talk it over with my wife and we will get back to you.. LOL yeah right like i am going to give them the time of day.. So here's to you Linda Johnson,.,,you need to realize you are working for a Scamming hellhole of a company and stop trying to take everyone's hard earned money. I will never allow anyone like this again to rip me off... Thanks again Rip-off Report for posting all the things you do, if it weren't for you guys, i would of never known that First Capital was a SCAM.. Beware all you nice naive people out there.. Hello again.. I just wanted to follow up with my other report. As i stated in my report,i went to my Bank about 10 days after FCCG took the money out of my account. They immediately took action and went to work for me and put the money back into my account. I am now going to "CLOSE OUT" my account and open a new one so that this will not happen again.. This is a lesson learned and i will not fall for anymore of those CREDIT CARD scams, I have already been called by three of them and have just taken down their name and numbers and what they have to offer and then i call PHONEBUSTERS and report them. They need to be Stopped and i hope they can. I hope all of you out there have the same luck i did in getting the money back.. Those JERKS don't deserve our hard earned money.
