***Update*** Today, October 15, 3 months after the initial payment was taken out of my checking account, I got a letter in the mail from the card activation center. It states plainly on this letter that: "The Stored Value Mastercard is NOT a credit card. While it may have many features of a credit card, it has one major difference; there is no available "line of credit". This is a "Pay as you go" card meaning that the only funds that are available for you to spend on the card, are the funds that YOU load or put onto the card." Now, why in the world would someone pay $199 to get a debit card, when I can get that from the bank for free? This company has got to be stopped. When I spoke with the agent (if you can call them that) at this company, he told me I was approved for 2 cards with a total "credit limit" of $4,500. So, now why 3 months later do I get a letter that states it has no available "line of credit". I haven't received my refund as of yet, but I do understand that it takes time. Just wanted to update any other consumers that might be out there in the same boat as me.
