First Capital Mastercard/Visa ripoff, $190.00 and no product, service, or credit card! No web site either, go figure? consumer fraud ripoff Internet
I got a credit card call one day that sounded very legit, from a Capital First Bank (cfb on my bank statement). They were going to electronically withdraw some fees from my checking for a card to help build my credit. They also gave me a number to call to cancel before the supposed date of the withdrawal.
Well, I called. In fact, I called for five days in a row, three times a day. I left countless messages to cancel the withdrawal. Finally I saw a ripoff report online and recognized it was them, but it was too late, they already got $190.00 out of my account and I got nothing.
I just called them again at 416-488-4664 and they tried to tell me that they have me recorded saying they could withdraw 99.99 from my account even if I cancel it. That is assanine! No one would do that, least of all I.
They just stick your recorded bit on anything they want to be true and think they have you. I hung up on this woman but not before telling her that, although they got my money, and money from countless others, the "gig was up" that they were all over the rip-off reports and soon some legal authority would catch up with them.
If anyone knows a way or is involved in any case/litigation/etc. regarding this company
What they are doing is so hurtful and needless. They are lying and taking money from people who need it. If they sent even a plastic toy or something,so you could at least get something, but they are so blatant about "taking" people's money that they don't even offer a consolation prize.
