First Capital Consumers Group are ripoff specialists. They stole money from single mom w/ deaf child. Ontario, Canada
On April 21st I received a phone call from a gentlemen claiming to represent First Capitol Consumers Group out of Canada. They claimed that they were offering me a credit card that would help to repair my credit after I had been swamped with astronomical doctor bills from my hearing impaired child.
I was naive enough to fall for this line, as my financial future looked bleak because of her past surgeries and felt that this would be the answer to my prayers, so I gave him the information to take the 200 dollars from my account. After two weeks and no card I proceeded to call the number they gave me to no avail. I now sit destitute and wondering if there is any reprisal for the sickening events that unfolded.
I have had to change my social security number, cancel my accounts, and also cancel any other credit cards out there that I had worked so hard to keep in good standing. I feel as if they have taken from me, so much more than just the monetary amount and feel that if nothing is done about this situation that we, as Americans, should be ashamed of ourselves for not speaking up. You can denfinetly bet that this situation is of dire importance, and that situations such as these need to be handled with no leniency. Neither I nor any other person should be preyed upon in this manner.
