Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
My loan from First National Bank in Omaha NE was sold to First Investors Financial Services in Atlanta GA in 2007. From the first month my payment was due on my vehicle I received constant phone calls. I received calls from this company saying I owes them money before I even received a letter from First National Bank in Omaha. I would receive calls up to ten times a day even after I talked to someone. I would make payment arrangements and they would continue to call me even when they were followed through. One Sunday a gentlement from this company called my mother and told her that he was working especially on that day to find out where I WAS so he could come and get me and my car. I know the law and my rights, he is not to have told anyone anything about my situation except leaving a message. I recently lost my home to the APR interest rate and am going to be filing bankruptcy, I have retained an attorney and paid my car payment up until this month. I called them voluntarily and told them I have retained an attorney, gave them his phone number and told them I was filing bankruptcy, chapter 7. They continue to call me (today 5 times on my caller ID). They even called my mother yesterday and the woman I talked to, whose name is Rochelle, lied to me and told me she thought it was my home phone number, which was a lie because I had talked to someone physically at the company that morning. I again told them my situation she said she did not care and that she would continue to call me until she had a case number, even though the law states once an attorney is retained they can no longer contact me. I then called my attorney and he is preceding to file a complaint thru the bankruptcy court because this company will be fined for not following the rules and regulations. I am now saving any messages left and phone calls received from this company on my caller ID. I just wanted people to know to please beware when thinking of signing with this company. I unfortunately did not have a choice, but others may. They are not a real financial company - they are a company that buys loans from places that are 'high risk' and goes after vulnerable people, telling lies (they are working special on Sunday to drive from GEORGIA to pick up my car) even though my payment wasn't even 30 days late. I hope, if nothing else, that I can help someone with this email. Too many companies are run by greed and taking advantage of people in desperate situations and this is definitely one of them. BUYERS please beware and think twice before signing with this company!
