I paid the fees and accepted a card from this bank and it has been hell ever since I did. I got this huge bill with all kinds of pre-charges, fees, and issuing charges charged to the card so I had to pay for money I never used. Then I paid the balance off in 1/2003 and sent them a MoneyGram payment.

The next month I got another huge bill as if I had never paid them anything. I had late fees, overlimit fees, and finance charges for what should have been a 0 balance. The bill did not reflect my payment at all and I refused to pay them until they gave me my credit for the payment. Since they continued to add late fees, overlimit charges, and finance charges on a balance that was long paid off. These people mislead you and play on those who are eager to hold a major credit card and trying to re-establish or establish their credit.

I've had my credit card for about 6 months. FNBM charged me an initial fee which totaled $74, which I paid the first month. Since then, I've paid my bill by the due date each month, charged each month, have never had a late fee, an overlimit fee or any other type of fee other than their monthly "participation fee", which I think is horrible. Have even paid the card off once and have never had a problem with these people. One month, my payment did not get to them by my due date and they called. I had sent the payment - a personal check - and they were very courteous and polite. I offered them the check number. They declined and said not to worry. I did not receive a late fee on my account and the check was credited to my account as it should have been. Sorry, folks. These guys are no worse than HFC, Capital One or First Premier. They're all predators but "ya gotta play by their rules or they're gonna gig ya".
