First National Card - CCS Buyer beware this is a scam !! Las Vegas Nevada
Like many on this website, i got the letter in the mail with a $6500 limit plus the $199 membership fee, and was stupid on my part for fallin for it. after activating it i looked them up and came across this website, thank you!! i immeditaly called them back to cancel. the first day i didn't get anywhere trying to cancel the card. I knew then this was really a scam.
the second day calling them could had been funny listening to them if it hadn't been serious to me.
this is the conversation: talk to a man named Fred Hobbs.
actually this man never got rude, just went thru alot of bull why i should keep the card. each time i told him, no, want to cancel today. that was the extend of my side of conversation. after reading these reports on this website i decided i would keep my cool and that would be my only answer.
Next he goes thru the routine of gettin his supervisor on the phone. this took about 20 min. I figure they were really busy with people like me. this is the conversation(didn't hear his name} after askin me if he could help me i said yes,i activated this card yesterday and want to cancel today.He goes thru all the reason why i should keep it and even raises my limit to $8500 and even waived the fee's!! what a deal, this is something i never offered anyone!! I tell him no, want to cancel today.
this goes on for about 10 min. of offerin me "good deals". then finally i asked him do i need to call my attorney to get this card canceled? he says in a smart tone of voice and talking to me as if i were a spoiled child, no sharon, you don't have to do tthat , i will cancel your card,yes mam, if you don't want $8500 in credit that is your problem.(remember, he is talking to me as if i were a child,it was hard not to laugh at him!!] we get to all his whining voice and along the way he tells me a cancelation number, which if i hadn't been payin close attention i would had missed.
Then he comes with back with another "good offer, and i cut him short and asked if he ever check his good company out with the BBB. He says no why should i and asked have i ?? I tell him yes and he should too and read all about his good company and the rip off reports. this is when i hang up.
I think this company should fall under a federal investagation since they rip people off from all over the united states. If anyone gets this offer in the mail, please do not respond like i did. IF you do and gave them your bank account number as soon as possible go close your checking account!!!! stopping payment may not help, they can always come back and withdraw. This is what i done. I'm suppose to be canceled and if they try to go ahead and draw out of my old checking account i will post it on here. so far i haven't recieved any thing from them,but its still early. STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!!!
