Fitness USA Bad Contract, Bank Withdraw Westland Michigan
This Fitness USA advertises "Never More Than $19.00 a Month". Pay as you go, no contracts, blah blah blah. I went once, the "Trainer" was negligent, overly physical, rude, and would not listen when I hit my physical limit. After attempting to cancel my "Month to Month" contract, I was told to fill out a form asking why.
After filling out the form and sending it in, 3 weeks later, they took money from my bank account for a months membership. The other thing. The $19.00 program is 3 days a week for men, and 4 for days a week for women. To work out on your own schedule, you have to pay more, for a good trainer, pay a few bucks more. everything is more, more, more.

Once you "join up" with Fitness USA and they get your credit card number they will keep charging that account even if you tell them in person or by mail that you are no longer interested in using their facility. In my book, if they have your account number it is a de facto contract as far as they are concerned - even though the sign says "no contracts." They continued to bill me for 6 months (despite calls and letters ) and only failed to continue charging me because (thank goodness) my credit card expired and the bank called me to check if they should give out the new exp date to "Fitness USA." Get that. They will go out of their way to call the credit card company to get updated so they can continue charging you!
They (and apparently others like Lifetime Fitness) are nothing more than mobsters that get your account number and will continue to milk that account ad infinitum. Do Not Join These Clubs - Fitness USA for sure! The price and the "No Contract" business is a lie! Just read the other complaints on this site and on Complaints Board. It will become very obvious.
