Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I went to Florence and White Ford to look at a 2012 Ford Focus which I thought would be able to carry my husband's wheelchair and be able to install his lift into it. We took a salesman with us to go the the mobility place to see if they could install the lift into the vehicle.  The salesman came out after speaking to the manager and asked if we like the car because it could be placed into the vehicle.  We took him at his word and went back to Florence and White and signed the paperwork. The next day we were to take the car to the mobility place and have the lift installed.

When we got to the mobility place the manager came out and asked us what we wanted him to do with the car.  He stated that he told the salesman that it would not fit in the Focus.  He then told me take the car back.  We went back to the dealership and asked them to give us back our title for my car.   We were told "To bad so sad, you can't bring back used cars"  they also said they ain't Walmart!!!  They told us to take it or leave it.  This meant that I would have to get my husband home in his wheelchair  without out our vehicle.

After much excitment, they took us out of  main showsroom and put us in a small office where we were left so no one else would hear what they had done to us.   After along while, another salesman came in and said that he wanted to be our friend.  We were not going to get our vehicle back but they could get us into something else.  We were already there for several hours with our backs against the wall when we started to look at other vehicles.

I told them that we needed to go as my husband has diabetes and was experiencing chest pains from all the stress.  The only vehicle that would be similar to what we had  2008 Kia Sportage, was a 2011 Ford Escape which he showed us 2 which were identical except for the mileage.  We took the one with the lest amount and started the paperwork.

The salesman told me that the NADA was $35,000 but he would give it to us for $32,000.  They took our info for a loan and was suppose to give us $18,500 for the Focus that we never took possession of that vehcile.   They would not put my husband's name on the vehcile but used only mine.   Yet they used  both our incomes to get the loan.   I signed all the paperwork and was told by the salesman that he would put it into the glovebox when they delivered it to the mobility place to transfer the lift.

The day we had the lift transferred, there was no paperwork in the box.  When I made several calls to them to say that the mobility would not release the vehicle without paperwork, I was told that I would get them when they picked up my Kia.

When their courier came, she gave me my unsigned paperwork.  When asked about my signed paperwork, I was told to bad you lost your copy.   When I began to look at the paperwork they gave me,  the loan had been changed to $35,000 and it when from 60 to 75 months.

I have asked them many times thru the BBB,Consumer Complaint and the License Commission to give me my signed paperwork.   To this date I have not received anything from them.

They treated my handicap hsuband like a doormat--no respect, who make a man in a wheelchair wait over 10 hours between the 2 days knowing that he needed to take his meds for his diabetes.

The first day they put the vehicle in both names but the second transaction it was just in mine. They are indeed thieves with an F rating with the BBB.  Their business practices are not HONEST.  I don't know how they keep in business as I see in complaint #419206 they have been doing this since atleast 2009
