Focus-Camera.com order processing and lack of customer service. shoddy way to run a business
I ordered a PowerShot G2 from Focus Camera on 12/16/2001. When I didn't get a response to confirm the order as advertised on web site, I called them and was told some were coming in that night.
The next day, I was told some arrived but they didn't know the allocation order until the afternoon. I tried to call back and could no longer get customer service due to a pre-recorded message. I was also told earlier that this version was (I) was an import that was repackaged by Focus Camera. That was not noted on their web site.
I got an EMail on Friday after they closed! to please call them regarding the order. When I called on Monday (Christmas Eve) they told me it wasn't going to happen by Christmas, but I could get one this week if I wanted to pay $50.00 for the more for the camera!!! 2-6 weeks if I wanted the same price confirmed on my order. This should be illegal. Interesting that the price went up a day or two after I ordered mine. Perhaps that's why mine didn't get shipped when they told me shipments were arriving last week!
This sounds like s pretty shoddy way to run a business and obviously the customer is of no concern to them. When I talked with them today, I didn't even get a sorry when I cancelled the order!
