Hey potential Ford buyers beware! I purchased two FORD 450's in 2008. The first I had for two weeks it broke down and FORD couldn't fix it. paid $56000 and the dealers can't fix what they sell. I have met dozens and read about thousands of similar problems other customers are having with the new F450. blown turbo's, bad heads, EGR system failures, rear end and transmission failures and computer failures. I had a computer failure while towing a 45' trailer. $400 tow to the dealer and was told they wouldn't be able to look at the truck for at least a week. They also said no parts available anyway. Well I left my home in Maine in a white F450 and returned in a black F450. My only option was to trade the bad truck for another...no help from FORD! They gave me a slight discount as they knew they had me over a barrel. Made it back to Maine then the 2nd F450 started giving me trouble with engine codes etc...Brunswick FORD told me the EGR cooling system failed, had the truck only a few weeks.WTF? Brunswick FORD told me I would have the truck back in two days that it was a minor job. I question the service writwer after I heard they would have to remove the cab. He said no they wouldn't. He lied they removed the cab and I received the ruck back a week later with problems worse than when I originally brought it to them. FORD got both trucks back I'm out $112,000 and still fighting. I have had a Duramax since 2005 still have it and LOVE IT! I'll never buy a FORD again as long as I live. Good luck!
