I have been updating my report lately on my Ford Focus. Definately the worst car ever made. We have the 2001 LX edition. We have had the car in the shop over 9 times for each problem and to date they tell us, "We can't find the problem, therefor we can't fix it." Basically telling us HA-HA you got screwed. We are still dealing with the lemon law on our's. Recently I was in a minor accident, were a Channey Enterprises truck had dropped a large rock in the road and of course I couldn't avoid it, in turn I'm picking up my vehicle with an out of pocket cost of over $500, because the fuel tank was ruptured in the accident. But you should read my report's update on how I was even treated about this. Ford has not made a public announcement as to their entire Focus recall, but it is supossed to be announced soon. They are being made to recall ALL the Focus's and giving everyone's money back, a 0.0% intrest on another Ford vehicle (Unfortunately you have to purchase another Ford), a reasonable deduction from the price of the other Ford you purchase and some other things. Ford doesn't want people to know this because they're still trying to sell as many Focus's as possible. There is a way around the 15 month/ 15,000 mile lemon law. Speak to Mr. Goldberg at the Maryland Attorney Generals Office. He is only there Monday thru Wednesday. That is who's working on our case. Tell him everything you've told the consumers in your report, he can find a way around things to pursue the lemon law. But just like any Maryland government office, they're slow and lazy, we've been dealing with this for going on a year now. But it's better than nothing, since we tried everything by the book with Ford and to date the have completely ignored us. Go to National Highway Safety administration at www.dot.gov you'll find how many people have had these same exact problems with the Focus and some other useful information. I sent e-mails to the high ups in Ford 2 days ago, of course they've been ignored, but I have receit that they recieved them. I e-mailed everything to them, even my report. I know exactly how you feel about this car. We at the point now, where enough is enough and we don't care how long this takes, but Ford should be responsible for making such a piece of crap. I truly wish you all the luck, dealing with Ford, you'll definetly need it.
