Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Hurricane Micheal came through and uplifted some shingles on the roof causing water to enter the home through the ceiling, but the shingles did not work lose enough to be peeled off the roof.  On the other end of the home, the rain was driven by wind so hard that it entered the garage which is attached to the home and it flooded the ceiling in one of the rooms in the house and then traveled to other areas.

Our beef is that in the paper policy that we got from Foremost, it did NOT state that the Foremost Insurance would not cover WIND DRIVEN RAIN, but the adjuster did say that it would cover a TORONADO.  MIND YOU, I SAID WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE AND HE SPECIFICALLY SAID, "A TORONADO HAS A HOLE IN IT"  I just stood there and looked at him and thought he must think I'm about as stupid as I look.

Making a long story short, read your policy well and make sure you have cost replacement coverage because they will weasel their way out of that also.

What they did to us was when we had a pipe leak under the sink and ran into subflooring, ruining the floors, cabinets, etc.  The adjuster told us that they would depreciate everythig since the home had some age on it..I told the adjuster we had cost replacement and she said it didn't matter so she did her adjusting and we had to pay out of the bonky to get the kitchen and dining area floor and cabinets replaced.

If we have a Insurance commisioner in NC, he/she needs to audit this company because they are ripping people off.

Speaking of the paper policy Foremeost hands out with all those ENDORCEMENTS; well excuse me, those are only numbers and do not tell what the actual policy states Foremost will pay.  They give you a pamphlet that doesn't show what the endorcements coincide with in the pamphlet and then you might get an endorcement in the mail that states to replace that endorcemnt with one to the existing endorcements that you never got that were supposed to be with the policy in the beginning.

I read your rebuttle and searched online for adjusters.  Entered what adjuster was needed for and the zip; on the website it states that the independent adjusters work for insurance companies.  Now what?

You mentioned "the adjuster". That adjuster was hired by and/or works for the insurance company! His/her job is to see the insurance company gets by as CHEAP as possible and is hoping you will just capitulate and accept whatever crumbs they are willing to throw you. Find yourself an independent adjuster and find that adjuster as soon as you are finished reading this. This adjuster WORKS FOR YOU! They will do whatever they need to do to make you whole. Remember...the insurance company will try to get by on the cheap and they think you are a stupid doormat to be walked all over.
