I signed up on a nannying website so I could pick up some extra babysitting jobs. I was contacted by a family who lives in Malaysia, but they were going to move to St. Louis, MO and needed a sitter. I applied for the job and was accepted. The father, Fred Tanner, told me that he would like to send me money so that I could buy their daughter a Nintendo DS and bring it over when we meet each other. He arranged for his associate in the United States to send me the money. When the envelope arrived, there was more money than he said he would send. He said his associate had messed up and was supposed to send part of the money to me and part of the money to a furniture store in Malaysia that was arranging to have their furniture shipped to the U.S. so he asked me to send that money to the furniture store for him. I deposited the money and sent a Western Union money transfer to him. Later, the check I deposited bounced and I was out the money.

My daughter signed up on a nanny website and was contacted by a man stating that he saw her profile and wanted to get in touch with her, with emails that went back and forth for a week or so she received on stating that she was picked and then went on to send her pictures of the little girl and one of the mom and little girl and then one of the mom and dad.

Said that he was sending her money to buy his little girl a Nintendo DS and that she was to bring it to their first meeting.  She hasn't received the money yet, and they were due in on the 15th of this month and then told her that they didn't pick up the tickets in time and the date changed to the 23rd, they want to meet with her and her boyfriend on that day.

They gave her an address to where they are suppose to be living, asked her about parks, carnivals, schools etc and when we read this report we got to looking into it and did some searching.  The address to where they are suppose to be living the house is still for sale...and no one by the name that she was given has looked at the house. They are from Belguim living in Malaysia and have been there for 7 years. It sounds like the same story, but you don't say if they sent you pictures...that is what I find very strange.
