Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Freedom Resource called my cell phone, my sister answered and they told her they were from my bank and needed to verify my account number to issue a credit card. She isn't to blame, she believed them and gave them my bank account number. Fortunately she got their toll free verification number (877-508-0583).

When I got home she told me about the call. I tried to call them but they would not give me any information except that my checking account would be debited for $221.95. I asked that it be stopped and they told me they would not do this, but I could call their long-distance customer service.

I immediately called my bank and reported the attempted fraud. It cost $25 to put a stop payment on the debit. They then debited my account using the name Lenox Capitol. According to my bank this is a common type of fraud, however my bank spotted the identical amount and stopped payment. I am eternally grateful to have a good bank. (Wells Fargo if anyone is interested. They are an honest company!)

Unfortunately it cost me $25, but it could be worse. After reading the other postings, I wanted to let everyone know that they are changing their scam again. Make sure no one in your family gives out your bank account number over the phone, or any other information for that matter.

I will be happy to assist in any action against this company. I still have a financial loss, so am able to take part in a class action suit should one be filed. These people are complete scam artists and are stooping lower and lower as people report their latest attempts at fraud.

The really scary part is that there are probably lots of people who are too ashamed, or don't have a computer, or don't know how to report this type of fraud. For every one of us who manages to save themselves, there are probably lots of people out there who lost over two hundred dollars and have no way of dealing with it. We all need to let as many people as possible know about this company and others like it, because these companies do appear and disappear with money they have obtained illegally.

I intend to file complaints with the FTC, FBI, Attorney General in my state and theirs, my local police, their local police, the Secretary of the State of Georgia, my bank, and the NACHA. If enough of us file these reports, maybe they can be shut down. Maybe you aren't your brother's keeper, but we all need to be society's watchdog for illegal scams!
