Been there done that, i did that back in august when i recieved my check request. It didn't work at all it is now Jan21,2003 and i haven't recieved any thing. I was supposed to recieve it in october, but i din't so called and they told me i wouldn't recieve it till november15, I waited , but no check, So i called again in December and they told me i would have it december 15. Again still waiting i called them again and they said that now i wouldn't have it till jan. So at that time told them to send me the credit card because it was obvios that i wouldn't be recieving the money anytime soon . they said o.k great. I called again jan, brecausee i have not yet to recieve anything. They told me i wouln't be recieving a refund till feb. I called agian today on JAn21,2003 and they lady asked me if turned in my check request form. So i asked if they can fax me a letter confirming this she said no, that i can call back on jan31st to get a check #. All is i can do is sit and wait. There excuse everytime was the check refunds are on back order or they couldn't get me in this time. DON'T LET THEM TELL YOU THAT.

After I went through the same thing everyone else had Endless hours on the phone, I made my final call!! I called and spoke to a NEW customer service accociate.Then I explained to her VERY nicely that this will be my final call advised by my attorney. I explained I wanted my money back.She gave me the same story they all give."I will send out the paperwork for the request for refund It will cost you 24.95 and it will take 60-90 days,yadda yadda is all I heard. I said Ummm, Okay , NO IT WONT, She said "excuse me"I said Well my attorny said you would try this,Im telling you it will be in my account in 2 days.It took a matter of seconds to take it out Im giving you a matter of days to put it back. "Ooh have you heard of a class action law suit?" (that is all I said to that) And I hope your NOT counting on this job for long, Pretty soon you will be out of a job. She was shocked. I told her Ok I dont believe that your this suprized.But 60 Minutes and Dateline are Investigaing this company and Im sure I will see you on TV. This is when I was put on HOLD AGAIN she came back on the line and told me I would recieve the fax within hours and the would refund my money within 2 DAYS!! I told her she was working for a fraud company and told her to look this company up online She said I will and thanked me.(Im still unsure if she is new or a good actress) I took it to my bank they read it and said NO dont do this,It basically said They can refund your Money and take it out 2 seconds later and there is nothing you can do. So the bank Instantly refunded my money and now they have Investigators Investigating them.

I finally got a letter from Freedom Resource telling me to get my Stored Value Card I need to send a minimum of $20 and that there is absolutely no credit granted. I called them and told them that I was told this was unsecured with a credit limit of $2500.
They played my verification tape back and the man talked so fast I could barely understand when he said stored value card. The last thing on the tape is me saying, "I have a question." The man said just a minute and turned the recording off. Of course, my question was reassuring that this card is a non-secured $2500 limit credit card and he said that is correct. Since they heard me say I have a question, they are refunding my $221.95.
However, I have to send the letter back to them. Then they will send me a refund form that I have to fill out and send back to them. Then it will be 60 to 90 days before they mail my money back to me. At least I am getting it back. BE AWARE, the only way your limit will be $2500 is if you put $2500 in the card. IT IS A SECURED CARD!
