Freedom Resource rip off- tried to get me to agree to cc on phone-wouldn't give # or address to confirm but found this site, abused & mistreated false promises, Woodstock Georgia
I received a phone call Sun 12/1 approximately 6p - Freedom Resource inc. It was a credit card offer. They allegedly got my name from a credit card application rejected by another company.
The guy was fast talking, seemed too good to be true. I kept telling him it sounded like a scam and i wanted to check with State Atty office, Better Business Bureau, etc 1st.
I asked for his full name He said "John" I asked what his last name was, he hesitated, then said "Parker". I asked for the phone # and address - He wanted to know why, but I didn't answer that one, I asked for the address. He wouldn't give me an address - just "Kansas".
He got upset, nasty - "Why do you want to know this stuff? "Right, calling the Better Business Bureau is going to do you a lot of good. "The Better Business Bureau is the Al Capone of the business world".
At this point I told him he and his company were never to call again - he got verbally abusive, I hung up and tried to trace call - no luck - tried Kansas information for the phone #- no such place - I knew he was panicked and had lied. I did a web search for The company name and found you - thanks for being there - who else should I report these scumbags to?
