This is NOT actually a rebutal.
My advice is - If you have lost money to Charlie Cunningham or Freshstart Living, sue them through the small claims court but make sure you have all your documentation. It might take 6 months but you should win in the end - and it's quite a simple process and far cheaper than a solicitor.

In Oct 2011 I paid a deposit of 5k for Student Accommodation in Manchester. I was told lies to get a sale. I request a deposit refund and after numerous calls and emails I eventually got a letter confirming my deposit would be paid in April. Nothing happened. I was then told, May, then August, then Sep then October. I have used their online complaint form several times and written to the CEO Charlie Cunningham twice. I have received no reply. I have lodged numerous calls and no-one ever calls back. I will not let is stop here as these people are liars and unethical. Anyone had any success?

I paid $6000 for apartment rental in Fresh Start Living. We almost signed the contract and they suddenly said that the apartments we paid for are not available anymore. They offered me another place but I didnt like it. I asked to return me the money and I cant get money back since August 2011.
