In September of 2016 I went to friends of Horses looking to lease. I spoke with Bill, he showed me a few horses he thought would fit my needs, Bill proceeded to tell me about Dreamer he stated "he was a 10-12 year old ex race horse who had no health problems and was completely in good health, I agreed to lease Dreamer that day. The following day I went to ride Dreamer and everyone at the stables were rude and all they wanted to do was talk stuff about you. Bill had told me when agreeing to the lease I could take Dreamer off the property to see how he did before I adopted him. Friday I had called Bill to let him know I was taking Dreamer to Jefco to see how he does Bill then stated "Dreamer cannot leave premisis unless your adopting him." 20 Minutes after that phone call I had decided I was just going to adopt him I called Bill back and let him know I was giving him a final check for the cost of Dreamer he said okay call me when you get to the barn and ill tell you where to put the check, i called him he told me where to put the check and I took Dreamer to Jefco for a ride. Monday Morning I had a vet come out to give me a better idea on Dreamers health, Dr Mueller Informed me that Dreamer was definatly 20 years or older, and he had something wrong with his spine and shouldnt be ridden much.. I then called Bill and asked for a refund, he then stated that he couldnt give me my money back as I have already ridden him and he has costs into the horse. I then called my bank and stopped payment on both the checks I had given to Bill and got all my costs returned. Dont adpot or board horses here the people are rude and treat their horses horrible.

I am sorry you had such a bad experience at my barn. I assure you that your one time encounter does not represent us as a whole. As to dreamer, a fine horse indeed, is being used in lessons and seems perfectly fine to me. I am just a boarder who adopted my two horses from there so I am in no way speaking for Bill or anyone else but I know for a fact if you prove your worth and credibility there you are more likely to be able to acquire and do what you want. You can't just let anybody take a horse off property that's silly. I tested my horses at FoH for months before I even considered adopting them to see their health with my own eyes. These are Rescue horses darling none of them are perfectly sound and the age is kind of up in the air. I suggest you actually should have taken the time to see dreamer as a whole before trying to adopt.
