As the original reporter of this situation I can now state that after many phone calls and many months all funds have been returned by the airline/agent. I do not understand why the previous poster above mentioned FEMA - - this was a trip to Mexico. Hurricane season lasts 6 months, and I am to cheap to by travel insurance also. Thanks for everyone's comments though -Paul

They are no more responsible for the weather than you are. I suppose you think FEMA should pay you? Seems everyone thinks someone else should pay for things out of EVERYONE'S control. Maybe it's your fault because you booked a flight during hurricane season.

Check with your credit card company about natural disasters. They may be able to help you.

This is complete scam. Look closely at this website for Frontier and other airlines' Hurricane policies. Why should a ticket buyer, due to no fault of their own have to pay to have the airlines change their tickets after a hurricane. It is bad enough that they will not refund your money, it is an outrageous riproff that they insist you pay more to change the flights they can no longer honor due to hurricanes.
