On Jan. 14 I read an e-mail about a free trial on Colon Cure. The ad stated one could loose 20 pounds in a very short time. I ordered the free trial but the e-mail confirming the order stated I would be charged $89.00 every month but that I had 14 days to cancel. I started calling the 800 number daily but the line was always busy. Seven days later the free trail of Colon Cure arived and after taking it for two days I had a terrible headache and severe stomach crampis. I continued to phone daily. Finally, on January 30 the. a man answered and said, "Are you calling to cancel?" He said his name was Arren and gave me a confirmation number.

On February 5th I received a bottle of Colon Cure in the mail. I called the 800 number and I was told that I did not inform them to cancel within the 14 day trail period. When I argued I did notify them within 14 days they said that the trail period started the day I ordered even though it took a week for me to receive the trail botttle. They told me that they do not accept returns or give refunds even after I told them my doctor told me not to take the pills.

I called Capital One and I was told that, since the company did not accepts returns or refunds, I could not dispute the charge of $89.00 that was charged to my account on January 29. The local GNC stores accept returns even if opened if the customers has a problem with the purchase. My income is social security being charged $89.00 for pills that make me ill is a financial burden.
