Since my first post I took all of my vet bills to them and they said they would not reimburse my expenses. I filed a complaint with the BBB and told them I would take further action if my expenses were not covered. They sent me a check for about 80% of the expenses and told me this was all I was going to get, I said fine but I will not stop here and I am not satisfied. She was very rude and accused me of threatening her. I told her to take it how ever she wants it but I will take this to the next level; I did not mention court or local media. The next day I received a cashiers chaeck for the balance.

The California puppy lemon law will help you with this. Go to leginfo.ca.gov and look up CALIFORNIA HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE section 122045. What follows is a lengthly law for dog (and cat) breeders and pet stores. Read it thoroughly. Then do the following: 1. Write a letter to the store. In the letter cite the law, and your costs. Tell them they have 2 or 3 weeks to send you your money. 2. If you don't get the money (and you probably won't) go file a small claims lawsuit at the San Bernardino County courthouse. They will help you file. 3). On the day of the trial, make sure you take your letter, your purchase receipts for the dog, your vet bills, and a statement from the vet of what was wrong with the dog. Then ask for reimbursement under the puppy lemon law. Make sure to include the costs of filing the lawsuit (probably less than $25) the cost of serving the subpoena, and the cost of mileage, time off from work etc. Good Luck. dan CLICK here to see why Rip-off Report, as a matter of policy, deleted either a phone number, link or e-mail address from this Report.
