Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
When I went to purchase my car there they were really accommodating and really wanted to sell the car to me.  The nicest people you can meet.

I was there picked out a car and the sales person Melissa Spark was my sales person.  After I decided that i wanted to move forward with the purchase Randy Emerson (Director of Online Sales) got involved.  Keep in mind that they have seen my credit report and Randy Emerson was supposedly in contact with the bank to get an approval.  In face there were many circumstances where he went back to "supposedly" talk to the bank and was able to bring the interest rate down by almost 10% and even came back with better payment options.  KEEP IN MIND DURING THIS TIME HE WAS SUPPOSEDLY TALKING WITH THE BANK THAT APPROVED ME AND THEN DECLINED ME A WEEK LATER.

In any case on that evening I was told the Loan went through and i was taken to Frank Lagrasso who spent more time trying to up sell me on stuff and spent no time explaining to me anything including a vital fact that, the loan was supposedly not approved at the moment.

In any case they let me take the car home even though I insisted they keep the car until all down payment was made and everything was good to go.  Again both melissa and randy both assured me that the deal was done.  "THE DEAL IS DONE! THE CAR IS YOURS" is what I was told repeatedly.

After a week later, even though I was in regular communication with them throughout the week they tell me that the loan never got approved and I had to return the car.  After leaving a dozens of voicemails throughout the week I still had no response.  When i went in to make a payment they said the loan didnt get through.

Funny though after they told me the loan didnt go through, they still tried to cash my down payment check.  Why would you cash a down payment check when apparently the car never got sold.  Secondly these guys claim they have been doing this for many years they still let me leave the dealership with a car that really was never financed yet.

We all know how hungry sales people and greedy car salespeople act.  they will say and do anything to make the sale happen.  Here is what I think they did and am in the process of getting the necessary copies everything that transpired.

When they were negotiating with the bank they gave false information to get the loan approved.  Once the loan got approved they were confident that the bank would not notice their forgery but they were wrong.  When the bank underwriters noticed that something was wrong they double checked and lo and behold the loan didnt meet their qualifications.  This is not the first time sales people have done this and is a very common practice.  hence the whole mortgage crises.
----

Now point 2 of how I was treated.  all of a sudden they were quick to point fine print which Frank didnt even care to mention to me when he was having me sign 100 pieces of paper.  You would think that, especially given the risky nature of this loan, he would have said we are still processing this loan.  Instead he was more concerned with selling me on an unnecessary wax job rather than making that point across. I was told off by many other staff and threatened that if the car was not returned I could face criminal and civil penalties.  Later that evening I got a call from Mr. Lagrasso and said if you let me work with you I can get you approved and to not worry about anything.  Today I was told that was a strategic business decision to make sure they get their car back in one piece.  I guess lying to your customers is a strategic business decision.  What else did they lie about?

In any case, I left Frank a voicemail that I was not interested in leasing the car and I would return the car.  Before I had a chance to return the car they picked up their car in the middle of the night.  I woke up to go to work and the car was not there and they didn't even think that there might be my property in there.

Simply put, if i wasnt qualified for a loan I could understand that.  it is their deception and lying that has prompted me to start an investigation on what transpired.  what they did may be legal but in no way is ethical.

IF YOU PLAN TO DO BUSINESS WITH THIS DEALER I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO EVERYTHING.  THEY WILL INCREASE INTEREST RATE AND PRICE ON YOU AFTER WHAT WAS AGREED ON.  BEWARE OF THIS DEALER AND ESPECIALLY THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT.
